Trisha Krishnan is one of the leading actress of South Indian Films - reaching top spot. She is half Tamil and half Malayalee Brahmin, born on 4 May 1983 in Pallakad, Kerala, India. She is an only child and lives with her parents Uma & Krishnan and grandmother in Chennai. She studies BBA in the famous Ethiraj College in Chennai.She got into glamour world after she won the Miss Salem (Salem, a town in Tamilnadu) in 1999 with her beautiful brown eyes and sparklingly smile. Later she was crowned Miss Chennai in 2002 and participated in Miss Famina India 2001 pageant where she won the title Miss India Beautiful Smile. Other contestants at the same event were Namitha Kapoor and Celina Jaitley. Celina Jaitley the Miss India title that year.
She bag some ad assignments before she was roped into to do movies. Ammer Sultan introduced her in his famil "Mounam Pesiyadhey" opposite Surya. Her next project was Priyadarshan's Tamil movie "Laysa Laysa" with Shayam. Quite recently her films have bombed at the box office. But still there is large fan following for her. She sometimes replies to fan's emails posted in one of fan club's Yahoo! Groups. A controversial of a video Trisha bathing was in circulation and it turn out to be a fake.
Her forthcoming films are: two Telugu films Bujjigadu , King and three Tamil movies: Abhiyum Naanum, Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam & Sarvam. Her interests include music, animals, reading and travelling. She being fondly called "Honey" at home.
